Youth teams win 2026 BCSPL Championships
Teams qualified for Canada Soccer's 2026 PDP Championship

Eight British Columbia youth teams won their respective BCSPL Championships across four different age categories on Saturday 6 June in Coquitlam. The eight Saturday Finals marked the culmination to a successful 2025-26 season across the province’s player-development program leagues.
Both the winners and runners up in the U-17 and U-15 age categories had already qualified for Canada Soccer’s 2026 PDP Championship when they won their respective Semifinals one week earlier. Those eight youth teams will participate in the PDP U-17 Cup and PDP U-15 Cup from 26-30 August in Montréal, Québec.
In the U-17 age category, Fusion FC won the Boys’ U-17 division with a 4:3 victory over Burnaby FC while Surrey United SC won the Girls’ U-17 division after a 6-5 penalty shootout over Burnaby FC. In the U-15 age category, Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC won the Boys’ U-15 division with a 3:0 victory over Surrey United SC while North Vancouver FC won the Girls’ U-15 division with a 4:1 victory over Langley United SA.
In the U-16 age category, Surrey United SC won the Boys’ U-16 division with a 1:0 victory over Burnaby FC while Surrey United SC won the Girls’ U-16 division with a 1:0 victory over Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC. In the U-14 age category, Langley United SA won the Boys’ U-14 division after a 4-1 penalty shootout over Port Moody SC while Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC won the Girls’ U-14 division with a 3:1 victory over Pacific FC.
Now in its third year, the PDP Championship features 248 youth teams competing in the four divisions across four standards-based leagues: the BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL), the Alberta Player Development League (APDL), the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL), and the Québec Premier Youth League (PLSJQ).
Canada Soccer’s Player-Development Program features a network of standards-based programs that represent high-level amateur youth soccer in Canada. Participating organisations, both clubs and academies, all meet the requirements for standards-based programming including recognition as an active National Youth Club Licensee.
Across the first four years of the competition, Canada Soccer will host the PDP Championship alongside the four provincial member associations in which Canada’s standards-based youth leagues are played: Alberta in 2024, Ontario in 2025, Québec in 2026, and British Columbia in 2027.
