Ottawa, Ontario – Canadian Men’s World Cup Team head coach Frank Yallop today named his 18-player roster for the upcoming World Cup Qualifying series against Belize in Kingston, Ontario on Sunday, June 13th at 4:30 p.m. and Wednesday, June 16th at 7:30 p.m.

The team recently earned an impressive 3-1 victory in an exhibition game against the San Jose Earthquakes at Spartan Stadium in San Jose, California on Saturday, June 5. The game was aborted after 75 minutes of play due to a power outage.

Added to the roster is Mark Watson who missed the San Jose game to play for the Charleston Battery. Watson rejoined the team in Ottawa today. Patrice Bernier will join the team on Thursday after playing in a cup game for Moss FK in Norway.

“We’ve had two weeks of good preparation,” said Yallop. “It’s good to have the roster set for the upcoming qualifiers. The whole squad is very much looking forward to playing our first game at home in quite some time.”

The team will practice in Ottawa before heading to Kingston on Friday, June 11th.
