Toronto FC’s treble named Canada Soccer 2017 Moments campaign winner

An historic season from Toronto FC, who had a record setting regular season on the way to the 2017 Canadian Championship crown, a Major League Soccer Supporter’s Shield, and MLS Cup Finals victory and, has earned the club the 2017 Canada Soccer Moments title.

In the 2017 Canadian Championship, the team earned their sixth title hoisting the Voyaguers Cup for a second year in a row. The domestic title earned them a place in the 2018 CONCACAF Champions League where they will face Colorado Rapids in the opening round. The club’s Supporters Shield as regular season champion, earned with 69 regular season points was an MLS record. The team also repeated as hosts of the MLS Cup Final in a rematch of the 2016 Final against Seattle Sounders FC and earned Canada’s first-ever MLS Cup.

A CanadaRED prize pack was given away to one entrant of the 2017 Canada Soccer Moments campaign which included signed Canada Soccer National Team Jersey and other CanadaRED items. Congratulations to Lise Bourque from Rusagonis, NB who was randomly selected.

In 2016, the Canada Soccer Moment title went to the Women’s National Team whose second bronze medal in as many Olympic football tournaments was a first at a summer Olympics in 108 years.
