    "body": "<p>Ottawa, Ontario \u0096 Canada&rsquo;s Brittany Timko of Coquitlam, BC has earned the adidas Golden Shoe as top scorer at the 2004 FIFA Women&rsquo;s Under-19 World Championship in Thailand with seven goals in four games despite Canada&rsquo;s early departure from the tournament following a 3-1 loss to China in the quarterfinal played on Saturday, November 21.</p><p>Germany&rsquo;s Anja Mittag was unable to score in the final in which her team took gold after defeating China 2-0 today in Bangkok, Thailand. Mittag ended the tournament with six goals in six games, one short of Timko.</p><p>The United States earned bronze today after posting a 3:0 win over Brazil in the earlier match of today&rsquo;s double header.</p><p>Christine Sinclair won the Golden Boot award with 10 goals in six games in the inaugural FIFA Women&rsquo;s Under-19 World Championship hosted by Canada in 2002.
