Brittany Timko, 16, makes her debut for Canada.</p><p><strong>THIS DAY IN FOOTBALL: 9 April 2008<br>\u200b</strong>Canada qualifies for the 2008 Women&rsquo;s Olympic Football Tournament for the first time in Association history. Canada qualifies with a 1:0 victory over Mexico in the CONCACAF Women&rsquo;s Olympic Qualifier in Juarez, MEX. Melissa Tancredi scores the lone goal in the 24th minute. Diana Matheson becomes the ninth player to make her 75th appearance for Canada.</p><p><strong>THIS DAY IN FOOTBALL: 11 April 1993<br>\u200b</strong>Canada wins 2:0 over El Salvador in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, BC. Victor Kodelja and Bruce Wilson make their debuts for Canada.</p><p><strong>THIS DAY IN FOOTBALL: 12 April 2008<br>\u200b</strong>Canada is outscored 5-6 by USA on kicks from the penalty mark in the 2008 CONCACAF Women&rsquo;s Olympic Qualifier championship final. The match had ended in a 1:1 draw, with Melissa Tancredi scoring the equaliser in the 116th minute. Candace Chapman becomes the 16th player to make her 50th appearance for Canada.</p><p><strong>THIS DAY IN FOOTBALL: 13 April 1985<br>\u200b</strong>Canada wins its first FIFA World Cup Qualifiers match played in Victoria, BC. Canada&rsquo;s Eric Mu&ntilde;oz scores the lone goal.
