Canada holds Brazil 0-0 for nearly 82 minutes in a FIFA U-20 World Cup group match. Andre Cruz finally breaks the deadlock on a free kick, beating Craig Forrest. Canada’s first loss in three matches eliminates the team.

In Canada’s first match of the 1994 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, Dale Mitchell scores the equaliser of a 1:1 away draw with Jamaica in the 85th minute. Mitchell scores just seven minutes after Hector Wright had opened the scoring in front of 17,000 fans at Jamaica’s National Stadium.
