\u200bCanada makes its debut at the 1989 FIFA Five-a-side World Championship (FIFA Futsal World Cup). Canada falls 1:3 to Argentina in its opening match at Sportcentrum Maaspoort in Netherlands. John Fitzgerald scores Canada’s first goal in a FIFA Futsal World Cup.
