Royal-Sélect Beauport won the 2022 Québec Cup men’s provincial championship on kicks from the penalty mark after a 3:3 draw in the Sunday 11 September Final with the Rapides de Chaudière-Ouest. Beauport led 2-0 on goals by Amos Boum Nlend and Jérôme Laplante before Chaudière-Ouest took a 3-2 lead and then Mikael Cloutier equalised 3-3. Beauport then won 4-3 on kicks with Beauport goalkeeper Jérémie Blais stopping two attempts.

In the Sunday Final, Beauport’s starting lineup featured Jérémie Blais in goal, Jasmin Couture at right back, Samuel Beaulieu and Ange-Felix Safari at centre back, Victor Dolbec at left back, Jonathan Deschênes, Kerian Diez-Soto and Jérôme Laplante at midfield, Jordan Bolduc and Ghislain Boum Nlend on the wings, and Julian Mana Nga up front. Head coach Fabrice Lassonde also featured Mikael Cloutier, Baptiste Toussaint, Ange Beremwoudougou and Olivier Roy while Quentin Ressaire and goalkeeper Milosh Tubic dressed but did not feature. Jean-Félix Gagné was unavailable through injury.

It was the Beauport organisation’s second adult championship in back-to-back days at the Québec Cup Finals in Laval, Québec. On Saturday, Beauport won the 2022 Québec Cup women’s provincial championship, their ninth all-time title.

It was the Beauport’s eighth men’s provincial championship since 2006. They also won provincial titles in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2019. They won Canada Soccer’s National Championships Challenge Trophy in 2012 and finished as national runners up in 2009 and 2016.
