    "body": "<p>Ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the Qatar Embassy in Canada hosted Canada Soccer and other embassies at a lunch reception in Ottawa at the Fairmont Ch&acirc;teau Laurier Hotel. The reception featured a special welcome from His Excellency Dr. Khalid Rashid Al-Mansouri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Canada.</p><p>Alongside Canada and Canada Soccer, the embassies from the qualified nations took part in the event. The Honourable Ahmed Hussen attended the event on behalf of Canada.</p><p>&ldquo;As a past and future host country, Canada Soccer understands the incredible amount of work that it takes to stage the world&rsquo;s biggest sporting events,&rdquo; said Dr. Nick Bontis. &ldquo;We wish our colleagues at the Supreme Committee and Local Organising Committee the best of luck in the coming weeks. We know that Qatar 2022 will be a wonderful celebration for our sport.&rdquo;</p><p>Taking place quadrennially, the FIFA Men&rsquo;s World Cup&trade; sees 32 nations compete against each other for the prize.
