Ottawa, Ontario – Canadian Women’s World Cup Team Head Coach Even Pellerud has named 15 players for a training camp in Burnaby, BC from September 10-17. The camp will serve as preparation for the upcoming friendlies against Australia in Vancouver and Victoria on September 26 and 28, respectively. Those games will serve as added preparation for the Women’s Gold Cup in Victoria, BC, October 30 – November 3.



The squad includes newcomer Brittany Timko and Kara Lang, both of whom won silver medals for Canada at the recent FIFA U-19 Women’s World Championship. Ashley McGhee, who was called in for the Norway game in July but did not play, is also invited.



The Canadians will play Australia on September 26 in Burnaby’s Swangard Stadium at 8:00 p.m. while the second game will be played at 1:00 p.m. on September 28 in Victoria’s Centennial Stadium.
