Ottawa, Ontario – Canadian women’s World Cup Team head coach Even Pellerud today released the roster of players he will draw from for the upcoming Pacific Cup tournament in Australia from May 31 – June 11. The tournament will take place in Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle and Campbelltown (Sydney suburb) and will feature the national teams of China, Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand and the United States.
Sixteen of the 18 players chosen, represented Canada at the Nike Cup earlier this month where Canada lost 4-0 to the United States in the final on May 7. The roster marks the return of five-year veteran Liz Smith to the national side and the first call-up for 18-year-old Katherine Warman.
