The Canadian Soccer Association and Amway Global are pleased to announce a new three-year commitment for the NUTRILITE brand to remain the title partner of the Nutrilite Canadian Championship. Building on the successful partnership which began in 2008, both parties are looking forward to an exciting 2009 Nutrilite Canadian Championship.

“The Canadian Soccer Association is extremely pleased to renew its partnership with Amway Global,” said Peter Montopoli, Association General Secretary. “The success of the Nutrilite Canadian Championship is a symbol of the growing popularity of the sport of soccer in Canada. This partnership ensures future editions of the Nutrilite Canadian Championship will continue to be of the highest quality both on the field and off.”

“Last year’s thrilling tournament just proved the potential that professional soccer has in this country,” said Jim Hunking Managing Director, Canada/Caribbean, Amway Global. “We’re honoured to have been a part of this tournament since its inception and we look forward to helping make the Nutrilite Canadian Championship the premier Canadian professional sporting event for years to come!”

The Impact de Montréal, Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC are the three teams competing in the Nutrilite Canadian Championship. The 2009 Championship kicks off on 6 May 2009 in Toronto at BMO field with a match between Toronto FC and the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Each team plays four matches – two at home and two on the road. The first-place finisher will win the Voyageurs Cup and join the CONCACAF Champions League for the 2009-10 season. The CONCACAF champion (out of 24 teams) will advance to the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup.
