Ottawa, Ontario – The Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) is pleased to announce that Mike Moretto, current Manager of the Montreal Impact of the United Soccer League’s First Division will be joining the CSA as National Teams Equipment Manager following the end of the Impact’s season.
Moretto began his career with the Impact in 1993 as a member of the Technical Department and took on the role of Team Manager in 1997. Prior to the Impact, Moretto held the position of Equipment Manager for the Montreal Supra in 1990-1992 of the now defunct Canadian Soccer League.
Moretto has already worked as Equipment Manager with the Canadian Men’s National, Under-20 and Under-23 National teams on a project by project basis, and will help current Equipment Manager Kevin Muldoon with the roles and responsibilities.
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge of working with the National Teams as it has been a dream since I started working in professional sports,” said Moretto.
“It was a very hard decision to leave the Montreal Impact as I’ve been involved with the organization since the beginning. I wish the Team and staff continued success and will always cherish the experience.”
