2020 MLS Playoffs

Canadian clubs Impact de Montréal and Toronto FC have both qualified for the Major League Soccer Playoffs after the conclusion of the 2020 regular season. Toronto FC finished second overall in the league standings while the Impact clinched their playoff spot with a come-from-behind 3:2 win on MLS Decision Day on Sunday 8 November.

The two eastern Canadian teams finished among the top-10 teams in the MLS Eastern Conference. The Impact will open their playoff path on Friday 20 November against the New England Revolution in one of two play-in matches in the MLS Eastern Conference. Toronto FC will open in Round One of the playoffs against a yet-to-be determined play-in winner.

With their win, the Impact qualified for the MLS Playoffs for the fourth time in franchise history, also the first time since 2016 when they reached the MLS Eastern Conference Final. The Impact have an all-time playoff record of six wins, one draw and two losses from their three playoff appearances in 2013, 2015 and 2016.

Toronto FC enter the MLS playoffs for the fifth time in six years. They have an all-time playoff record of 10 wins, two draws and four losses across four previous playoff appearances (2015, 2016, 2017, 2019). The three-time MLS Eastern Conference Champions (2016, 2017, 2019) were MLS Cup champions in 2017.
