Montréal CANMNT Match Alert: Less Than 4,000 Tickets Remaining

CANMNT to play first competitive international friendly in Québec since 2017

Anticipation is building in Québec as fans of Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team (CANMNT) prepare to watch Canada take on Australia in an international friendly on Friday 10 October 2025 at Stade Saputo in Montréal. Following strong early interest and demand, under 4,000 tickets remain for the fall fixture.

The match will mark a significant moment for Canadian soccer fans, as the CANMNT (FIFA ranked #28) continues its preparations toward a home FIFA World Cup™ next summer. This will be the team’s first match in Québec since 2017, offering a rare chance for fans in Montréal and across the region to see the squad live on home soil.

Australia (FIFA ranked #24) have appeared in five consecutive World Cups and will make it a sixth after recently qualifying for FIFA World Cup 26™. CANMNT’s all-time record against the Socceroos is 3W-1D-5L, with the first international contest taking place back in 1924.

“Australia recently secured their spot in the World Cup after navigating a tough group in the Asian Qualifiers. They’re a strong team with plenty of World Cup experience. This is exactly the kind of challenge our Men’s National Team needs, and we’re confident that this match will be a great test as we prepare for next summer.”

Jesse Marsch, MLS Canada Men’s National Team Head Coach

This match adds to an exciting fall schedule with Top 50 opponents, which also includes a clash against Colombia (FIFA ranked #14) on 14 October 2025. In September, the team will travel to Europe for friendlies against Romania (FIFA ranked #48) and Wales (FIFA ranked #31). CANMNT will return to Montréal for a friendly match ahead of next year's FIFA World Cup 26™, as part of Canada’s final preparations for the tournament.
