    "body": "<p>Sporting Montr&eacute;al FC will face former champions Saskatoon Green &amp; White in the Canadian Final at the Women&rsquo;s Futsal Canadian Championship. The two sides reached the 2026 Canadian Final after they won their respective Semifinals on Saturday 11 April.</p><p>The Women&rsquo;s 2026 Futsal Canadian Championship Final starts at 16.30 local time at the Chief Jim Starlight Centre inside the 7 Chiefs Sportsplex. Admission to all matches this week have been provided by the Calgary United Soccer Association, the hosts for this year&rsquo;s competition in partnership with Tourism Calgary. Matches are also broadcast live on FIFA+ including both the men&rsquo;s and women&rsquo;s Canadian Finals (17.30 ET / 14.30 PT).</p><p>Sporting Montr&eacute;al FC reached the Canadian Final after they won 4:2 over Windsor Caboto SC in the first of two Saturday Semifinals. While the club&rsquo;s men&rsquo;s team has played in six Canadian Finals and won twice (2017, 2022), this marks the first time the women&rsquo;s team has competed at the Futsal Canadian Championship. Saskatoon Green &amp; White, the 2024 national champions, won their match 4:1 over Winnipeg Pioneers FC in the other Semifinals match.</p><p>Montr&eacute;al and Saskatoon also faced each other Thursday on the opening day of the 2026 Futsal Canadian Championship, with Montr&eacute;al the 6:0 winners to open the competition.</p><p>This year&rsquo;s competition features a record 10 provinces and territories represented across the men&rsquo;s and women&rsquo;s divisions. For the first time ever, the 2026 Futsal Canadian Championship featured knockout matches including the Friday Quarterfinals and Saturday Semifinals. The enhanced format ensures a full four-day competition with meaningful matches for all participating teams.</p><p>At the elite club level, Canada Soccer supports domestic futsal through the annual Futsal Canadian Championship for men and women. The Men&rsquo;s Futsal Canadian Championship was launched in 2015, with the Women&rsquo;s Futsal Canadian Championship introduced in 2023, reflecting the continued growth of the sport nationwide. This past year, Canada qualified for the first edition of the FIFA Futsal Women&rsquo;s World Cup&trade;.</p><p>Earlier in the day, the Canadian Final for the Men&rsquo;s 2026 Futsal Canadian Championship will be played at 14.15 local time (16.15 ET / 13.15 PT).</p><p>&nbsp;</p>",
