Tancredi’s Canada Soccer Hall of Fame induction will be celebrated in front of family, friends and Canadian supporters at BMO Field
Canada Soccer will honour Dr. Melissa Tancredi and celebrate her induction into the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame Class of 2026 at halftime of the Women’s National Team’s home match against Denmark on Thanksgiving Monday 12 October at BMO Field in Toronto.
In front of family, friends and Canadian supporters, Tancredi will be recognized for her remarkable international career and lasting contribution to Canadian soccer.

A two-time Olympic Bronze Medal winner, Concacaf champion and three-time FIFA World Cup participant, Tancredi earned 125 international “A” appearances and scored 27 goals for Canada across a 14-year international career. She ranks fifth all-time in goals for Canada.
Tancredi scored the historic match-winning goals that qualified Canada for both the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympic Games. At London 2012, she helped Canada capture a memorable Olympic Bronze Medal, part of a team that went on to be named The Canadian Press Team of the Year and Postmedia Team of the Year.
At club level, Tancredi played in Canada, the United States and Sweden, including with Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Saint Louis Athletica. She reached the 2010 USL W-League Championship Final with Vancouver Whitecaps FC and was a WPS league runner-up with Saint Louis Athletica in 2009.
The halftime recognition will give Canadian supporters at BMO Field the opportunity to celebrate Tancredi’s induction into the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame alongside her family and friends.
