    "body": "<p>Canadian midfielder Marie-Yasmine Alidou has joined SL Benfica in Portugal&rsquo;s Campeonato Nacional Feminino for their upcoming 2023-24 season. She has joined the reigning league winners after playing the 2022-23 season with fourth-place FC Famalic&atilde;o. Alidou has signed a two-year deal with the club for 2023-24 and 2024-25.</p><p>&ldquo;It is a great honour to be here and to sign for this great club. I am very excited and eager to start working with this team and win titles. I also hope I can live up to the responsibility&rdquo;, said Alidou.</p><p>This past season, Alidou made 32 appearances and scored 12 goals. In her first season in the Campeonato Nacional Feminino, she was elected best player for February and March, then lifted the club&rsquo;s first Ta&ccedil;a de Portugal in May</p><p>Since turning pro, Alidou has played her club football in France, Sweden, Spain, Norway and Portugal, including appearances in UEFA Champions League with Link&ouml;pings FC.
