    "body": "<p>On the heels of its Centennial Match in Toronto on Sunday 3 June 2012, Canada has gained seven points on the monthly FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking. The June 2012 ranking, published on 6 June, has given Canada 457 points, up from 450 from one month earlier. Canada remain ranked ninth in CONCACAF, although the global ranking is now 77th out of 206 associations.</p><p>The FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking looks at each country&rsquo;s international results from the last four years. The ranking takes into account the result, the importance of the match, the strength of the opponent, the regional strength, the time period, and the number of matches per year. Matches played more than a year ago are valued 50% of matches played in the last year; matches played more than two years ago are valued at 30% while matches played more than three years ago are valued at 20%.</p><p>Canada used the 3 June 2012 match as a tune-up for the ucpoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. Canada kicks off the CONCACAF 3rd Round on 8 June in Havana against Cuba (14.00 local). Canada then plays at home against Honduras on 12 June in Toronto (19.30 local). Future matches will be played in September and October. Group discounts are available via <a href=\"mailto:marketing@soccercan.ca\">marketing@soccercan.ca</a> or 613.237.7678.</p><p>Amongst teams participating in the CONCACAF 3rd Round, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Honduras and Guatemala all gained points while USA, El Salvador, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Guyana, Antiga &amp; Barbuda and Cuba all lost points. Mexico and USA remain the top-two teams in the region, while Panama has moved up into third in CONCACAF. The rest of the CONCACAF top-10 features El Salvador, Honduras, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Haiti, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago.</p><p>On the overall ranking, Spain remains at the top (1,456 points) while Uruguay has slipped into second (1,292).
