Jessie Fleming and Kamal Miller have been named Canada Soccer’s Players of the Month for November 2021. Fleming from London, Ontario starred for Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team in a pair of away friendlies after a breakout month with Chelsea FC. Miller from Scarborough, Ontario, meanwhile, helped Canada to back-to-back wins in the Concacaf Final Round of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and won the 2021 Canadian Championship Final with CF Montréal.

\u200bFleming played in both international matches with Canada in November and finished the 2021 calendar year as Canada’s leader in matches (tie), starts, minutes played and goals scored (tie). This marks the third time this year that Fleming has won Player of the Month honours for Canada (March, October and November).

\u200bAt the club level with Chelsea FC, Fleming scored in three successive games and finished the month with three goals and two assists in five matches across domestic and continental competitions. She scored in Chelsea’s 1:0 league win over Aston Villa, their 7:0 UEFA Champions League win over Servette, and their 4:0 league win over Manchester City FC. Through eight matches in the FA Women’s Super League, Chelsea FC are second with 21 points, just one point back of league leaders Arsenal FC.

\u200bMiller was one of two players that featured on the Concacaf Team of the Day in back-to-back matches during the November window alongside Jamaica’s Michail Antonio. Miller played the full 90 minutes in both Canada victories in Edmonton, Alberta, the 1:0 clean sheet victory over Costa Rica on 12 November and the 2:1 win over Mexico four days later.

\u200bAt the club level, Miller featured in two Major League Soccer matches before the international break and scored his first MLS goal on 4 November in a 2:0 win over the Houston Dynamo. After the two matches with Canada, Miller helped CF Montréal win the Canadian Championship for the fifth time since 2008. It was Miller’s first title at the professional level.
