    "body": "<p>The Amway Canadian Championship features Canada&rsquo;s five professional soccer teams in action over the course of a six-week national competition. Inaugurated in 2008, the winner takes home the Voyageurs Cup and qualifies as Canada&rsquo;s representative in CONCACAF Champions League.</p><p>The 2016 preliminary round features Ottawa Fury FC against FC Edmonton, with the 11 May match at Clarke Field in Edmonton and the 18 May match at TD Place in Ottawa.</p><p>The winner of the Ottawa-Edmonton series then faces last year&rsquo;s national champions Vancouver Whitecaps FC, with the opening leg at home on 1 June and the return leg in Vancouver on 8 June at BC Place. During the same window, Toronto FC faces Impact Montr&eacute;al FC in the other semi-final series, with the 1 June match at BMO Field in Toronto and the 8 June match at Stade Saputo in Montr&eacute;al.</p><p>The 2016 Amway Canadian Championship Grand Final will be played over two legs &ndash; again home and away &ndash; during mid-weeks ties on 22 June and 28 or 29 June.</p><p>This year marks the first year that TSN &ndash; the home of champions &ndash; will broadcast Canada Soccer&rsquo;s Amway Canadian Championship.
