    "body": "<p>Canada&rsquo;s men&rsquo;s national team has traveled to Philadelphia where it will take part in the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup quarter-final stage in less than a week. The team arrived Saturday, but did not train on Sunday after a busy schedule that saw the team play in three different venues in eight days.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bOn Sunday night, the last four teams completed the group phase of the 2009 competition. In Group C action, Mexico won 2:0 over Guadeloupe while Panama won 4:0 over Grenada. Mexico claimed first place in the group while Panama claimed the eighth and final quarter-final position for the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bOn 18 July in Philadelphia, Canada will face Honduras while USA will face Panama on day one of the quarter-final stage. Then on 19 July in Dallas, Guadeloupe will face Costa Rica while Mexico will face Haiti.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bOn 23 July in Chicago, the Canada-Honduras winner will meet the USA-Panama winner in the first semi-final match. The Guadeloupe-Costa Rica winner then faces the Mexico-Haiti winner in the second semi-final match. On 26 July in New York, the semi-final winners will meet in the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup final.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bCanada finished first in Group A with seven points (two wins and one draw).
