FIFA Announces International List of Referees Including 19 Representing Canada Soccer

The International List of Match Officials for 2026 has been released by FIFA. Canada Soccer is represented by 19 individuals fulfilling 21 positions. 

Of note, FIFA has selected four Canada Soccer match officials to join the list for the first time. Michael Venne (Referee), Twayne Anderson and Camille Raymond (Assistant referees) and Alexis Vaughan (Futsal referee) are appointed for the first time in 2026. Both Venne and Anderson featured in the 2025 Canadian Premier League final while Raymond was an assistant referee in the Northern Super League Final. Vaughan officiated at the Futsal Canadian Championship including the men’s final match.

Canada Soccer's longest serving member, Marie-Soleil Beaudoin (since 2014), retires from the Referee list but remains as a Video Match Official. With Beaudoin’s retirement from the field, Drew Fischer and Marie-Han Gagnon Chretien continue as Canada Soccer’s longest serving on field match officials, both making their first appearance on the list in 2015.
