    "body": "<p>Eight teams will participate in Canada Soccer&rsquo;s newly expanded 2018 Futsal Canadian Championship including first-time entrants from Alberta, Manitoba, Yukon, and Nunavut. The annual competition runs this 19-22 April at Queen&rsquo;s University in Kingston, Ontario with teams from five different provinces and two territories. The four new teams will join previous entrants Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Qu&eacute;bec.<br>\u200bThe 2018 Futsal Canadian Championship kicks off 19 April with a rematch of last year&rsquo;s final between champions Sporting Montr&eacute;al FC and runners up Saskatoon Olimpia SK FC. This year, all 16 matches will be livestreamed on CanadaSoccer.com culminating with the 2018 Final on 22 April at 12.30 ET / 09.30 PT.<br>\u200bGroup A consists of Qu&eacute;bec&rsquo;s Sporting Qu&eacute;bec FC, Ontario&rsquo;s Toronto Idolo Futsal, Alberta&rsquo;s Calgary Progressive FC, and Yukon&rsquo;s Whitehorse Yukon Selects FC. Group B features Saskatchewan&rsquo;s Saskatoon Olimpia SK FC, Manitoba&rsquo;s Winnipeg Rovers FC, Nunavut&rsquo;s Rankin FC, and Qu&eacute;bec&rsquo;s Sporting Montr&eacute;al FC (who qualified as the reigning national champions).<br>\u200bFutsal is a unique, fast-paced indoor sport played across Canada and around the world. Canada Soccer is committed to the growth and promotion of the game. At the elite club level, Canada Soccer supports domestic competition through the annual Futsal Canadian Championship.<br>\u200bLaunched in 2015, the Futsal Canadian Championship is Canada&rsquo;s top-level futsal championship. For the first time in 2017, the Canadian winners advanced to the Concacaf Futsal Club Championship in Honduras.<br>\u200bCanada Soccer is committed to supporting international playing opportunities in futsal through the National Futsal Team with international participation in the CONCACAF Futsal Championship and the FIFA Futsal World Cup.</p>",
