Diana Matheson de l’équipe nationale féminine de Canada Soccer choisit la chirurgie

Voici une déclaration de la milieu de terrain de l’équipe nationale féminine de Canada Soccer Diana Matheson concernant sa récente blessure au ligament croisé antérieur (LCA).

« Plus tôt ce mois-ci, une IRM a révélé que j’ai déchiré à nouveau mon LCA. Après un examen minutieux et des consultations auprès de docteurs et du personnel, j’ai décidé d’aller de l’avant avec une chirurgie pour le faire réparer.

C’est évidemment décevant de ne pouvoir jouer pour le Canada et pour Seattle au cours de la prochaine saison, mais ceci me donnera les meilleures chances pour être de retour là où je veux être pour mon club et mon pays la saison prochaine, et au-delà en 2019 et 2020. Contrairement à ma chirurgie précédente, j’ai le temps pour cette guérison, et je viserai à être de retour en forme à ce temps-ci l’an prochain.
