Cristina Ionescu of Romania will be the referee of the match and will be assisted by Irina Mirt also of Romania and Katarzyna Nadolska of Poland.

Denoncourt of Aylmer, QC was one of two referees chosen to represent Canada at the tournament among 36 chosen from accross the world.

This is Denoncourt’s third straight World Cup with two Olympics in between as referee, a record not held by any other woman or man. Her experience includes 26 years as a referee (FIFA since 1994) and over 85 international matches.
