Ottawa, Ontario – The Canadian Soccer Association will make a special presentation to Women’s World Cup Team Captain Charmaine Hooper at the international friendly presented by Whirlpool against Brazil on Sunday, July 20th at Frank Clair Stadium in Ottawa.



CSA President Andy Sharpe will make the special presentation to Hooper during halftime in front of her home crowd in Ottawa in anticipation of earning her 100th cap against Mexico in Vancouver on September 4th.



Hooper is expected to be the first member of any Canadian team to reach the century mark in international soccer appearances. Hooper, an Ottawa native who played for the Nepean Hotspurs has been a member of the Women’s World Cup Team since 1986 and will earn her 98th cap for Canada in Ottawa.
