Ottawa, Ontario – The Canadian Soccer Association has introduced a CSA Honour Roll to recognize the international achievements of its veteran senior national team players in representing their country.

Players who have obtained the impressive total of 40 caps will become Members of the CSA Honour Roll and will receive a certificate commemorating the achievement. Players who reach 50 caps will be acknowledged for reaching Accomplished status. They and Elite status players (75 caps) will receive a certificate and commemorative coin to mark their successes in competing for Canada around the World.

A special Centenary Award will be presented to those who reach the highly prestigious mark of 100 appearances for Canada. Charmaine Hooper and Andrea Neil have achieved this remarkable milestone with the Women’s World Cup Team. On the men’s side, Randy Samuel remains Canada’s all-time caps leader with 82 appearances.

The CSA Honour Roll highlights the incredible achievement these players have obtained in playing for Canada and is a testament to their ability, determination and dedication to the sport of soccer in Canada. For that and many more reasons, they are to be saluted; and to them, the CSA extends its utmost gratitude and respect.
