Ottawa, Ontario \u0096 The Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) is pleased to announce that Eric Lamoureux will be joining the CSA as Director of Communications effective Monday August 28th 2006.
\u200bLamoureux joins the CSA with previous experience as a political and communications advisor to both the Federal and Municipal governments. A soccer enthusiast, Lamoureux has a proud background with Canadian soccer namely as a Carleton University Ravens alumni where he played in the Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS) league for three consecutive seasons from 2001 to 2003.
\u200b“I never dreamt of combining both my professional background and my passion for soccer into my career. Canadian Soccer is on the rise and I look forward to working hand in hand with the National Teams and staff to spread the word,” said Lamoureux. “We are entering exciting times as hosts of the U-20 FIFA World Cup next summer and I’m glad I will have an opportunity to be part of it.”
\u200bEric, a native from Montréal, is fluently bilingual and holds a bachelor degree from Carleton University while pursuing a part-time Masters degree at the Université du Québec.
