CPL Match Week 4 – Decisions related to Claims of Wrongful Dismissal

The Canada Soccer Disciplinary Panel reviews two cases of Wrongful Dismissal submitted by Clubs following CPL Match Week 4.

  1. Claim of Wrongful Dismissal submitted by Forge FC on behalf of Mr. Ashtone Morgan, following a send-off for Violent Conduct during Canadian Premier League Match #13, held May 5, 2023 between York United FC and Forge FC (90+2 minute). OUTCOME: The claim is successful and the standard punishment for the offence is withdrawn
  2. Claim of Wrongful Dismissal submitted by Vancouver FC on behalf of Mr. Rocco Romeo, following a send-off for Serious Foul Play during Canadian Premier League Match #16, held May 7, 2023 between Vancouver FC and Cavalry FC (29thminute). OUTCOME: The claim is rejected. The player must serve the standard punishment (two (2) match suspension + monetary fine).
