CANWNT Roster Announced for 2026 SheBelieves Cup

24 players selected; Canada set for fourth appearance at annual U.S.-based tournament

Canada Soccer has announced the 24-player roster selected to represent Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team (CANWNT) at the 2026 edition of the SheBelieves Cup, presented by Visa. The competition marks Canada’s fourth appearance at the tournament, which this year features a Concacaf versus CONMEBOL dynamic as Canada will face the United States, Colombia, and Argentina across three venues in the United States.

All four nations sit among the top 30 teams in the FIFA Women’s World Rankings, with Canada and the United States leading the way in the Concacaf region. Colombia and Argentina arrive following strong recent performances in South America, setting up three distinct challenges for Canada across the tournament window.

Stoney’s squad features seven different faces from the group that closed out 2025 in Japan. Most notably, Cloé Lacasse returns to the squad following a long-term injury sustained with her club in October 2024, and Brooklyn Courtnall receives her first senior call-up after last representing Canada at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica in 2022.

“This is an important moment for our program and for every player in this group. World Cup qualification at the end of the year is our priority, and the SheBelieves Cup will provide meaningful, high-level matches that will test us and prepare us for the challenges ahead. We’ve selected a squad that combines players who have proven themselves with emerging talents who bring energy, determination, and the potential to make an immediate impact. Each match will be an opportunity to push ourselves, learn, and continue building the team we need to be for 2027.”

- Casey Stoney, Women’s National Team Head Coach

Matches will be played across three U.S. venues, with Canada opening against Colombia on Sunday, 1 March at 2:00 p.m. ET / 11:00 a.m. PT at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee. Canada then faces the United States on Wednesday, 4 March at 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field in Columbus, Ohio, and will take on Argentina on Saturday, 7 March at 12:30 p.m. ET / 9:30 a.m. PT at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey.

RIVALRY SNAPSHOT

Canada’s meeting with the United States marks the 68th chapter of a rivalry that dates back to 1986, the same year the Canadian program was established. The United States remains Canada’s most frequent opponent at the senior “A” level, and Canada will be aiming to secure its first win on American soil since 11 November 2000.

Colombia most recently fell 1:0 to Canada on 31 July 2024 in the final group stage match at the Paris Olympic Games, a result that secured Canada’s place in the quarterfinals. The two nations first met in 2011, with Canada winning both previous encounters prior to Paris.

Canada has faced Argentina eight times since 2003. The sides most recently met in April 2025 in British Columbia, where Canada claimed a 3:0 victory in the opening match before falling 1:0 in the second fixture.
