CANW17 to face Chile, Mexico and USA in Atlanta
Canada Soccer names 24-player roster for three-match international camp
Canada Soccer’s Women’s U-17 National Team (CANW17) will face Chile, Mexico and the USA in a three-match international camp in Atlanta, Georgia, USA from 10 to 19 August, marking the team’s final international camp before the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026™ later this year.
Canada will open against Chile on Thursday, 13 August at 20:00 ET / 17:00 PT, before facing Mexico on Sunday, 16 August at 17:00 ET / 14:00 PT and the USA on Wednesday, 19 August at 17:00 ET / 14:00 PT. All three matches will be played at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Atlanta.
“Playing three matches in seven days against World Cup-qualified teams will give us a real sense of the demands of a World Cup group stage and help prepare us for what we’ll face. The roster includes 16 players born in 2009 and eight born in 2010. Twenty of the 24 players selected were part of Canada’s squad at the 2026 Concacaf Women’s Under-17 Championship in March, where Canada secured its place at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026™.
The August camp will also mark Herst’s return to the CANW17 after an extended medical leave that began in December 2025, during which she underwent two major cardiac surgeries.

The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026™ will take place from 17 October to 7 November, with 24 nations from six confederations competing for the world title. Canada will compete in Group C, opening its World Cup campaign against Brazil on 18 October, before facing Norway on 21 October and Ghana on 24 October.
