CANW17 Qualifies for FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Morocco 2026™

Dominant group-stage performance sees Canada advance to Morocco

Canada Soccer’s Women’s Under-17 National Team (CANW17) have qualified for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026™ after topping Group A at the Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers in San Rafael, Costa Rica.

Canada secured one of the four Concacaf berths with a perfect three-match schedule, opening the tournament with a 5:0 win over Nicaragua on Tuesday, 17 March, followed by a 7:0 victory against the Dominican Republic on Thursday, 19 March, and concluding the group stage with a 5:0 win over El Salvador on Sunday, 22 March.

The team scored a total of 17 goals during the tournament, with contributions from eight different players, while keeping a clean sheet across all three matches. Gabriela Istocki and Lacey Kindel finished as Canada’s leading scorers with four goals each. Brooklyn Boldt, Adalyn Fairweather, and Reed Tingley each scored twice, while Mélyna Alexis, Racquel Partovi, and Brooklyn Schwartzberg also found the back of the net.

"As a group, we came here with one goal, and we are proud of the way these players represented Canada in every moment of the tournament. We were really happy with the performances and felt that we improved every game. Qualifying for the World Cup is a well-deserved achievement, and it’s a reward they’ve earned through their hard work and dedication. We’re excited to return to Morocco and take the next step on the world stage.”

- Jesse Acteson, Women’s U-17 Interim Technical Project Lead.

Canada will make its ninth appearance at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. The tenth edition of the tournament will take place in Morocco from 17 October to 7 November 2026, with 24 teams competing for the global title.
