    "body": "<p style=\"text-align: left\">Canada Soccer&rsquo;s Women&rsquo;s U-17 National Team (CANW17) will face Brazil, CAF 2 and Norway in Group C at the FIFA U-17 Women&rsquo;s World Cup Morocco 2026&trade;, following the official tournament draw.</p><p style=\"text-align: left\">The tenth edition of the FIFA U-17 Women&rsquo;s World Cup will take place from 17 October to 7 November 2026 in Morocco, with 24 nations from six confederations competing for the world title. Canada enters the tournament as one of Concacaf&rsquo;s four qualified nations.</p><blockquote style=\"text-align: left\">&ldquo;You earn the opportunity to play at a World Cup, and with that comes the chance to test yourself against some of the best players and programmes in the world. World Cups at this age provide unique experiences and important opportunities for player development, and every match will demand something different from us mentally, tactically and competitively. We&rsquo;re excited for the opportunity ahead and confident in what this group can accomplish.&rdquo;<br>\u200b<br>\u200b- <strong>Jen Herst</strong>, U-17 Women&rsquo;s Head Coach &amp; Women&rsquo;s Youth Excel Program Lead </blockquote><p style=\"text-align: left\">CANW17 earned qualification for Morocco 2026 after finishing atop Group A at the Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women&rsquo;s U-17 Qualifiers in San Rafael, Costa Rica, posting a perfect three-match record. Canada opened with a 5:0 victory over Nicaragua on 17 March, followed by a 7:0 win over the Dominican Republic on 19 March, before closing group play with a 5:0 result against El Salvador on 22 March.</p><p style=\"text-align: left\">Morocco 2026 will mark Canada&rsquo;s ninth appearance at the FIFA U-17 Women&rsquo;s World Cup. At the 2025 edition of the tournament, Canada advanced to the quarterfinals after posting a perfect group-stage record and earning a Round of 16 victory over Zambia.
