CANMNT to play Venezuela in International Friendly this November

Canada to play as visiting side for November friendly against Venezuela in Copa América rematch in Fort Lauderdale

Canada Soccer and the Venezuelan Football Federation announced today that Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team (CANMNT) will play Venezuela (FIFA Rank #46) in an international friendly in the November 2025 window.

The match will take place on Tuesday 18 November at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This marks the fourth time CANMNT has played Venezuela in its history, with Canada having most recently defeated La Vinotinto on penalties in the 2024 Copa América quarterfinals.

“The quarterfinal win over Venezuela at the 2024 Copa América was a landmark moment for our program and something our players, staff, and supporters will never forget. Venezuela is a quality team and will be eager for the rematch. This friendly gives us another chance to measure ourselves against a challenging opponent.” - Jesse Marsch, MLS Canada Head Coach of the Men’s National Team

Today’s announcement finalizes the official 2025 FIFA calendar for CANMNT. In October, Canada will host Australia (FIFA Rank #24) at Stade Saputo in Montréal (Buy Tickets) and play an away match in New Jersey against Colombia (FIFA Rank #14). In addition to the November match against Venezuela, Canada will host Ecuador (FIFA Rank #25) at BMO Field on Thursday 13 November, with tickets on sale to the public this Friday 12 September

Canada recently completed the September 2025 Window with two wins against Romania (FIFA Rank #48) in Bucharest and Wales (FIFA Rank #31) in Swansea.
