This Board of Directors under the new governance structure will be composed of 14 Directors, including new President Victor Montagliani.

At its 2012 Annual General Meeting held in Ottawa on 5 May 2012, the Canadian Soccer Association membership elected its new Board of Directors. This Board of Directors under the new governance structure will be composed of 14 Directors, including new President Victor Montagliani, a Vice-President, six elected Directors and over the next two years, six appointed Directors.

The six Directors elected on 5 May were Charlie Cuzzetto, Martial Prud’homme, Nick Bontis, Don Story, Derryn Donaghey and Gerald MacDonald. In addition to the three Directors remaining to complete their term, Jeanette Kuc, Ken MacLean and Steven Reed, three independent Directors will be appointed later this summer.

Charlie Cuzzetto, from the British Columbia/Yukon region, has been elected to a three-year term. Martial Prud’homme, from the Québec regions, has also been elected to a three-year term. Nick Bontis is a new addition to the Canadian Soccer Association. From Ontario, he has been elected to a two-year term.

Don Story from the Saskatchewan/Manitoba region has been elected for a two-year term. Derryn Donaghey from the Alberta/Northwest Territories region will serve a one year term, as will Gerald MacDonald, from the Atlantic region.

Jeannette Kuc, Ken MacLean and Steven Reed are completing their respective mandate (one year left).

The three independent Directors will be appointed by the Board, following recommendations made by the Nominations Committee, by the end of June. The Vice President position, left vacant by Victor Montagliani (elected President), will also be filled by appointment.
