Canadian Soccer Association launches board recruitment

The Nominations Committee of the Canadian Soccer Association Board of Directors is seeking qualified candidates to serve on the Board commencing spring 2012.

“With the Canadian Soccer Association’s governance reforms beginning to take effect in 2012, we are at a pivotal moment in the Association’s history,” said Paul Varian, Nominations Committee Chair, Canadian Soccer Association. “The Committee is seeking candidates who possess the skills, experience and leadership to instill a new national vision that results in a drive to excellence across all aspects of the Association’s activities.”

The new Canadian Soccer Association Board of Directors will consist of 14 Directors, specifically a President, Vice-President, six elected Directors and six appointed or independent Directors (over the next two years). This call for nominations covers the following Board positions: President, six elected Directors (two for a three-year term, two for a two-year term, two for a one-year term) and three appointed Directors (two for a three-year term and one for a two-year term).
