The two newly elected committee members, Ms. Kuc and Mr. MacLean, have experience with the Association’s governance, having served as Directors on the Board of Directors. Ms. Kuc was the Saskatchewan Soccer Association’s President from 2007-2011. Mr. MacLean will now hand over the Presidency of Soccer Nova Scotia, which he has held since 2007, to take up his position on the Association’s Executive Committee. They replace two long-standing Directors at Large, Mr. John Knox and Mr. Mike Traficante, who are leaving the Association’s executive committee having provided leadership and support to the Canadian Soccer Association’s programs during their tenure.
The Canadian Soccer Association’s new executive committee consists of Dr. Dominic Maestracci as President, Mr. Victor Montagliani and Mr. Newman as Vice-Presidents, Mr. Steve Reed as Treasurer, Mrs. Jeannette Kuc, Mr. Ken MacLean and Mr. Clive Wilkinson as Directors.
The 2011 Canadian Soccer Association’s annual general meeting was hosted in Dorion, QC, highlighting the Fédération de soccer du Québec’s 100th anniversary. The Canadian Soccer Association’s 100th anniversary is next year in 2012.
