CPL&rsquo;s HFX Wanderers FC host Major League Soccer&rsquo;s CF Montr&eacute;al on 22 September at Wanderers Grounds in Halifax, NS. Toronto FC welcome York United FC to BMO Field on 22 September and Cavalry FC host Pacific FC on 22 September at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, AB.</p><p>The winners of the Quarter-Final Round matchups will advance to the Semi-Final Round ahead of the 2021 Canadian Championship Final. The 2021 Canadian Championship winner will receive the Voyageurs Cup and advance to the 2022 Concacaf Champions League competition with a chance to advance to the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup.</p><p>&ldquo;The Canadian Championship provides Canadians an opportunity<br>\u200bto see the best of professional Canadian soccer played with a chance to<br>\u200brepresent the country in Concacaf Champions League,&rdquo; said Dr. Nick Bontis. &ldquo;For<br>\u200bfans of the 13 participating clubs from coast-to-coast, the Canadian<br>\u200bChampionship provides new rivalries, new opportunity, and a chance to face the<br>\u200bregion&rsquo;s top clubs on the pathway to the FIFA Club World Cup.&rdquo;</p><p>The 2021 Canadian Championship Preliminary Round opened with<br>\u200ban all-Alberta affair that saw Cavalry FC defeat Al Classico rivals FC Edmonton <a href=\"https://canadasoccer.com/events/championship-match/?matchId=3161\">2:0</a> at Clarke Stadium on 15 August.
