After an exciting five-match Preliminary Round, the 2021 Canadian Championship Quarter-Final Round is set to kick off 15 September LIVE on OneSoccer.ca as Canadian Premier League sides meet with Forge FC playing host to Valour FC at Tim Horton’s Field in Hamilton, ON. CPL’s HFX Wanderers FC host Major League Soccer’s CF Montréal on 22 September at Wanderers Grounds in Halifax, NS. Toronto FC welcome York United FC to BMO Field on 22 September and Cavalry FC host Pacific FC on 22 September at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, AB.

The winners of the Quarter-Final Round matchups will advance to the Semi-Final Round ahead of the 2021 Canadian Championship Final. The 2021 Canadian Championship winner will receive the Voyageurs Cup and advance to the 2022 Concacaf Champions League competition with a chance to advance to the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup.

represent the country in Concacaf Champions League,” said Dr. Nick Bontis. “For
fans of the 13 participating clubs from coast-to-coast, the Canadian
Championship provides new rivalries, new opportunity, and a chance to face the
region’s top clubs on the pathway to the FIFA Club World Cup.”

The 2021 Canadian Championship Preliminary Round opened with
an all-Alberta affair that saw Cavalry FC defeat Al Classico rivals FC Edmonton 2:0 at Clarke Stadium on 15 August. Première ligue de soccer du Québec champions AS
Blainville travelled to Halifax, NS to face HFX Wanderers FC on 17 August coming
up just short in a 2:1 loss. ​ League1 Ontario Champions Master’s
Futbol Academy fell 5:0 to York United FC at York Lions Stadium in North York, ON in the first of two
Canadian Championship matches on 21 August with hosts Atletico Ottawa falling 3:2 to Valour FC in the second match at Ottawa, ON’s TD Place. Pacific FC hosted Vancouver
Whitecaps FC at Starlight Stadium in Langford, BC on 27 August defeating the Whitecaps 4:3.

The Canadian Championship is the highest domestic club
competition and leads to a direct entry into the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf
Champions League with an opportunity to play in the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup.
The current champions are CF Montréal who won the 2019 Canadian Championship.
