Canada’s Roster for Men’s U-17 National Team camp in Costa Rica

22 players to represent #CANM17 in Costa Rica

Canada Soccer have announced the 22 players who will represent Canada Soccer's Men's U-17 National Team ahead of their upcoming November camp. Canada are set to travel down to Costa Rica for a two-game friendly set against Costa Rica and Mexico.

Canada will play Costa Rica on 15 November and Mexico on 18 November in San José, Costa Rica.

“While our time together is brief, it will be an intense and purposeful window of preparation. Two highly competitive matches will allow us to build a strong foundation with the players before the World Cup Qualifiers in February. I’m looking forward to working with this group of players and building toward success.” - Mike Vitulano, Men’s U-17 National Team Head Coach and Men’s Regional Excel Director

CANM17 have recently been drawn in Group A for the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Men’s Qualifiers alongside Bermuda, Curacao, Anguilla, and Turks and Caicos Islands. The new Qualifiers consist of a single round, in which the participating teams are split into eight groups. Each team will play against each group opponent once, with the eight group winners qualifying for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.  Matches will be divided across six venues with Bermuda hosting the Group A matches and are set to be played in Bermuda, from 7-16 February 2025.

FIFA announced earlier this year that the FIFA U-17 World Cup™ will be expanded to 48 teams and take place on an annual basis between 2025 and 2029. Qatar have been awarded hosting duties for the men's premier U-17 tournament. Canada have qualified for four of the last six editions of the FIFA U-17 World Cup™.
