Canada will look ahead to the FIFA U-17 World Cup Peru 2023 after they wrapped up their Concacaf journey in Guatemala on Friday night. Just two nights after qualifying for their eighth FIFA U-17 World Cup, Canada were eliminated from the Concacaf Men’s Under-17 Championship after a narrow 0:2 loss to USA at the Estadio Doroteo Guamuch Flores. USA’s Micah Burton scored the winner on free kick in the first half while Keyrol Figueroa scored the second goal on the last play of the match in added time. Canadian midfielder Jeevan Badwal earned Canada’s Player of the Match honours.

\u200bAfter reaching the Semi-Finals at the Concacaf Under-17 Championship Canada, will play in the 19th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup which will be held in Peru. The FIFA U-17 World Cup Peru 2023 will be held from 10 November to 2 December with 16 nations, including Canada, Mexico, Panama and USA from Concacaf.

\u200bAcross six matches, Canada posted four wins with 11 goals scored and three clean sheets. In the group phase, Canada were 3:2 winners over Trinidad and Tobago, 2:0 winners over Barbados, and then lost 0:1 to USA. In the knockout phase, Canada then won 3:0 over Haiti in the Round of 16 and won 3:0 over Puerto Rico in the Quarter-Finals.
