Canada WNT preparing for Brazil in Foxboro

Canada trained at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA, USA on 22 March 2012, two days ahead of its Women’s International Friendly against Brazil. All 21 players took part in the session under the unseasonably hot sun on the stadium’s artificial surface just outside of Boston.

Head Coach John Herdman used the practice to refine the team’s tactical plan ahead of a difficult challenge against Brazil, one of the best sides in the women’s game.

“This is going to be a real test,” said Herdman after training. “They have Marta and a few other tricky players. When Canada plays Brazil it’s always a big game.”

Fans will be able to follow the Canada v Brazil match at 13.00 ET / 10.00 PT on 24 March via Twitter: @CanadaSoccerEN. Complete pre- and post-match coverage will be available at CanadaSoccer.com, as well as via CanadaSoccerTV.
