Ottawa, Ontario – The Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) today regretfully announced the cancellation of the Women’s international friendly against France on Thursday, April 28th, 2005 in Laval, Quebec.
​Due to the cancellation of another match within the CONCACAF region on April 24, 2005, the French Football Federation (FFF) has been forced to cancel their trip to North America.
​The Canadian Women’s National team will be playing three international friendlies in Europe; one against Holland on April 19th and two against Women’s World Champions, Germany on April 21st and 24th. The CSA is in discussions to add a fourth game to this tour on April 27th, 2005.
​In the meantime the FFF has agreed to play two friendlies in Quebec against the Canadian Women’s National team in 2006, at a mutually agreeable time.
