Canada Soccer’s TELUS She CAN Coach Launches Year 3

After a record-breaking second year, the TELUS She CAN Coach program is set to grow again in Year 3—expanding to Saskatchewan and Newfoundland & Labrador and returning to British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario for another year of educating, empowering, and connecting women coaches across the country. 

Year 2—A Year of Connection, Confidence, and Community 

In Year 2, TELUS She CAN Coach reached 50 community clubs and engaged over 400 women coaches nationwide. Coaches participated in a blend of virtual learning and in-person experiences that offered tailored development opportunities in inclusive, women-led environments. 

A standout feature of Year 2 was the six Regional Coach Education Weekends—held in Edmonton, Calgary, Vaughan, Ottawa, Halifax, and Vancouver. These weekends brought coaches together from across their communities to share experiences, strengthen skills, and build lasting networks of support. Delivered by women, for women, these weekends were more than workshops. They were powerful moments of mentorship, leadership, and solidarity that coaches carried back to their clubs and communities. 

Part of Canada Soccer’s Women and Girls Strategy 

TELUS She CAN Coach is a flagship initiative within Canada Soccer’s Women and Girls strategic plan, which aims to remove barriers, create equitable pathways, and increase representation for women in all areas of the game. The program’s focus on intentional, women-led development environments directly supports the plan’s long-term vision to see more women leading on the field, on the sidelines, and in leadership roles across Canadian soccer.

Year 3—Expanding the Network, Deepening the Impact 

Building on this momentum, Canada Soccer is excited to announce that Year 3 will welcome new partnerships with Saskatchewan Soccer Association and Newfoundland & Labrador Soccer Association, alongside continued collaboration with Manitoba Soccer Association, BC Soccer and Ontario Soccer.  ​ 

With each new province, the network of women coaches grows stronger, creating more opportunities for learning, mentorship, and leadership from coast to coast.

Club Applications 

Community clubs in BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Newfoundland & Labrador are invited to apply for Year 3 of the program, with the application window is now open and closes on September 30, 2025. For more details, clubs are encouraged to explore the TELUS She CAN Coach webpage.
