Canada Soccer’s Men's U-17 National Team Squad for Friendlies in Spain ahead of FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025™

#CANM17

Canada Soccer has announced the Men’s U-17 National Team squad for an upcoming training camp in Spain from 30 August to 10 September. Canada will play Morocco on 4 September, Uzbekistan on 6 September, and England on 9 September.

This will be an important step in preparation for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025™, where CANM17 has been drawn into Group K alongside France, Chile, and Uganda. The tournament is set to take place from 3-27 November in Doha.

Canada qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025™ after dominating the group stage of the Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers, winning all four matches, outscoring opponents by 26 goals and not conceding a single goal from open play. CANM17 recently took part in the U-17 Football Challenge in Albir, Spain where they defeated USA and lost to Japan and Morocco.

“This camp in Spain is another key step in our preparation for the World Cup in November. Facing three high-quality opponents will test us and allow us to build on the progress we’ve made this year. We know this group can compete against top-tier opponents, and now the challenge is to show consistency in our performances. This team has tremendous potential, and we’re confident they’ll raise the bar even higher.” – Mike Vitulano, Men’s U-17 National Team Head Coach and Men’s Regional Excel Director
