Canada Soccer visits 2026 venues in St. John's, Mount Pearl and Conception Bay South

Canada Soccer completed site visits with St. John's Soccer Club to the three venues that will host the 2026 National Championships U-17 Cup in Newfoundland & Labrador. As part of the visit, Canada Soccer met with local club officials at King George V Park in St. John's, Mount Pearl Soccer Complex in Mount Pearl, and Topsail Field in Conception Bay South.

Both Canadian Youth Finals will be played on Monday 12 October at King George V Park, with the Girls' U-17 Cup Final scheduled for 11.30 local (10.00 ET / 07.00 PT) followed by the Boys' U-17 Cup Final scheduled for 14.00 local (12.30 ET / 11.00 PT).

This year's 52 matches to the U-17 Cup (boys and girls) will be played across the three venues from Wednesday 7 October through Monday 12 October. Group matches are played Wednesday through Friday followed by knockout and playoff matches from Saturday through Monday. The four medal matches (along with select matches throughout the week) will be broadcast live on CanadaSoccerTV.

Monday's Finals Day will start at 09.00 local time with the two matches for third place at Mount Pearl Soccer Complex (boys) and King George V Park (girls). In the spirit of creating a memorable atmosphere for the competing teams as well as the Local Organising Committee, the volunteers, and the host community, all qualified teams will attend one of the two Youth Canadian Finals.

As Canada’s most accessible sport, soccer welcomes more than 750,000 registered players across the nation. This year, more than 500 youth teams will take part in qualifying for the National Championships in the U-17 and U-15 age groups for both boys and girls. From that group, 12 youth teams will qualify in each of the four divisions, with the U-17 Cup hosted in St. John's and the U-15 Cup hosted in Surrey.

Each host welcomes the qualified teams to their community with a unique Opening Ceremony, friendly volunteers at each of the competition venues, transportation to and from the team hotels, and a Finals Day atmosphere whereby all teams are in attendance for the Canadian Finals.
