    "body": "<p style=\"text-align: left\">On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Canada Soccer joins Canadians across our country in honouring the Survivors of residential schools, remembering the children who never returned home, and recognizing the families and communities who continue to be impacted by their legacy. </p><p style=\"text-align: left\">This day is also an important reminder that reconciliation requires ongoing action, learning and meaningful relationships. </p><p style=\"text-align: left\">Canada Soccer is committed to advancing this work within our organization and across the soccer community. Central to that commitment is Canada Soccer&rsquo;s Indigenous Working Group, which brings together Indigenous coaches, administrators and community leaders to help guide the future of soccer in Canada and strengthen Indigenous representation and leadership across the game. </p><p style=\"text-align: left\">Chaired by Dr. Brad Baker, a member of the Squamish Nation and Canada Soccer&rsquo;s Board of Directors, the Working Group is examining barriers and opportunities for Indigenous participation and leadership, strengthening relationships with Indigenous communities, and developing recommendations to inform the development of a Canada Soccer Action Plan in 2027. </p><p style=\"text-align: left\">The work is grounded in collaboration, respect, reciprocity, accountability and reconciliation and aligns with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission&rsquo;s Calls to Action related to sport. </p><p style=\"text-align: left\">As we recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Canada Soccer is listening, learning and working alongside First Nations, M&eacute;tis and Inuit communities to build a soccer system where Indigenous voices, experiences and leadership are represented and valued. </p><p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Learn more about Canada Soccer&rsquo;s Indigenous Working Group.</strong> </p><p style=\"text-align: left\"><a href=\"https://canadasoccer.com/indigenous-working-group/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u><strong>https://canadasoccer.com/indigenous-working-group/</strong></u></a><strong> </strong> </p><p>&nbsp;</p>",
