Canada Soccer Launches RFP for National Registration System

Canada Soccer today announced the launch of a formal Request for Proposals (RFP) process for its National Registration System (NRS), a foundational initiative designed to create a single, connected registration ecosystem for soccer across Canada.
The NRS will support Canada Soccer, Provincial and Territorial Soccer Organizations (PTSOs), districts, clubs, players and other stakeholders through a shared national platform that improves data quality, enhances participant experience, strengthens governance and reporting capabilities, and establishes a single authoritative national record of participation in Canadian soccer.
Canada Soccer is seeking a technology partner capable of delivering a bilingual, nationally aligned registration solution that supports both platform adoption and integration with existing provincial systems. Canada Soccer's vision extends beyond registration to creating a modern national data platform that can support future integration across key areas of the game, providing a seamless experience for participants, clubs, districts, PTSOs and Canada Soccer.
“This initiative is intended to address challenges associated with the use of multiple registration systems across our country without a unified national framework. Our aim is to support greater national alignment while respecting the operational autonomy of each PTSO. Through the NRS, we will establish a unique national participant record that aligns with FIFA standards and supports player transfers, data integrity and evidence-based decision-making across our game.”
-Kevin Blue, CEO & General Secretary at Canada Soccer
The first phase of the project will focus on the registration of players, coaches and match officials, national reporting, Safe Sport compliance, transfer management, and registration fee collection and settlement capabilities. Future phases will support additional functionality, including competition management, match data, discipline management, referee assignment, education module, talent identification and other integrated soccer operations.
The RFP process will be conducted through an open, competitive procurement designed to identify a vendor with demonstrated experience delivering registration and membership solutions for large sport organizations, while meeting Canada Soccer's requirements for data governance, privacy, security, accessibility, bilingual service delivery, and Canadian data residency.

The NRS represents a significant step in Canada Soccer's ongoing efforts to strengthen participant services, improve national coordination, enhance Safe Sport oversight, international compliance and create a modern data infrastructure that supports the growth and development of soccer across Canada.
