Canada Soccer announced that Jasmine Mander has been hired
\u200bas a Performance Analyst for the Women’s National Team. The former Canadian
\u200byouth player will play an important role as part of the coaching staff with the
\u200bteam getting ready to kick off Canada’s 2021 season in the build up to the
\u200bTokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
“We are really excited to welcome Jasmine to our team and I
\u200blook forward to working with her as we start our journey towards the Tokyo 2020
\u200bOlympic Games,” said Bev Priestman, Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team Head
\u200bCoach. “Jasmine has been in the Canada Soccer coach education system, she has
\u200bbeen a coach in our REX program, and as a former player also knows what it
\u200bmeans to wear the Canadian jersey. She is hungry to be the best that she can
\u200bbe, and I know she will strive to contribute to bringing this team to the next
\u200blevel.”
Mander of Delta, BC earned her Canada Soccer B Licence in
\u200b2015 and is currently a Canada Soccer A Licence candidate. Mander most recently
\u200bserved as a coach in the Vancouver Whitecaps FC BMO Academy System, which is
\u200bpart of the Regional EXCEL centres program in British Columbia, since 2014. She
\u200balso served as a coach educator for BC Soccer and volunteers on the BC Soccer
\u200bDiversity and Inclusion Committee. In December 2020, she was recognized by the
\u200bWomen’s Executive Network (WXN) in Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards.
As a player, Mander was 15 years old when she made her
\u200bdebut in the Canadian youth program in 2010. She was part of the U-15 and U-17
\u200bWomen’s National Youth Teams from 2010 to 2012 and was also part of the National
\u200bTraining Centre / REX program in British Columbia. Mander was the captain of
\u200bthe University of British Columbia Women’s Soccer Team that won the 2015 CIS
\u200bNational Championship.
